Who We Are

The nature of our work has shaped our agile organizational structure that allows for highly customized design of client engagements and experimental initiatives. Over the years, we have been fortunate to work with a dynamic array of professionals, contributing their expertise to our project-based teams. While these contributors are featured in project-related materials, this page presents current members of the Practice Council and the Stewardship Council of the Evolutionary Funding Collaboratory and showcases selected guest teachers.

Practice Council

Practice Council

This Practice Council is the main governing body of the Evolutionary Funding Collaboratory (EFC)—a collaborative funding vehicle supporting member-led projects that contribute to transcontextual learning and collective action for systems transformation. Practice Council includes EFC members who have been actively contributing to the work of Evolutionary Futures Lab as co-hosts, guest teachers, consultants, etc., and showed commitment to shaping the long-term institutional evolution of our collaborative funding practice. Practice Council Members design EFC's policies and procedures and oversee its operations.

Stewardship Council

Stewardship Council

Stewardship Council is the main advisory body of the Evolutionary Funding Collaboratory (EFC). It includes EFC founding members who co-designed our first collaborative funding prototype in 2015 and long-time collaborators who witnessed the evolution of our collaborative funding practices over the years. Stewardship Council Members receive updates on EFC development and impact and offer strategic insight and advice.

Guest Teachers

Featured Guest Teachers

Over the years, we have worked with dozens of guest teachers who contributed to our custom and open enrollment programs or taught member-led workshops funded by our collaborative funding community (including some of our current Practice Council and Stewardship Council members). Below is a sample of guest teachers that represent some of the schools of thought and approaches that we invited into our learning experiences.

Session #6 with Alyona Yuzefovich and Anastasia Laukkanen — TLST '22

This session was planned before Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine. The war had a dramatic influence on the content of this session, but it is not its main focus. In these trying times, all of us at Evolutionary Futures Lab stand in solidarity with Ukraine, encourage everyone to look for and to listen to Ukrainian voices, but we also hope that this session will be useful for those who are interested in systems transformation work in the Russian context and its relevance for trans-contextual learning. The session is based on self-study and peer learning reflected in this collective narrative: https://www.evolutionaryfutures.com/post/group-reflections-on-the-work-and-teachings-of-alyona-yuzefovich-and-anastasia-laukkanen Alyona and Anastasia are currently developing the Living Lab agency that specializes in creating interactive spaces for sustainability both in business and academic contexts. Their recent projects include adapting En-ROADS Climate Action Simulation to the Russian audience as well as developing and launching the first professional development program on systems change offered by a Russian university. Alyona is a social entrepreneur, master facilitator, communicator, and badass mom. At the beginning of her social impact journey, she and her company Boxxy diverted millions of kilos of electronic waste from the landfill in Russia. Anastasia is a former journalist, professional yogi and an amateir sustainability stand-up performer. In 2010 she co-founded ECOCUP, one of the first green documentary film festivals, that took place in more than 30 cities of Russia and CIS countries.
